Happy memories of my time at S&A Surveyors with Maureen coming in weekly to do the cleaning as the ‘family cleaner’.  Always cheerful, she made an excellent cuppa and usually had a chocolate treat for us all, with me usually having the first pick - thanks Maureen!  Although having arrived by bus, one of us would drive her home again and it was a pleasure to do so.  We would talk about life’s problems and she was always there for me as an advisor and shoulder to cry on.  Her gardening advice was second to none and cuttings galore were plentiful.  One memory I have is that I took both Maureen and my mum out one Sunday for lunch and they both got on really well, both asking me after each other for many a time.  I hope they have now ‘met up again’ and are having many a chin-wag!
